Honored Martyr's Story
Though most of the story is still unclear, Bita started to question her former suitor and fiancé named Amir. Her friends and her mother said that his unstable, volatile and controlling behavior frightened her. They fought and Amir claimed he called off the engagement though Bita’s friends say it was the other way around. He kept communicating and harassing Bita, and tricked her to going on a car ride with him where he took her to an old burnt elementary school in another small village nearby. There he stabbed her then poured benzine on her stomach and lit her on fire. He documented the whole process and sent the video to Bita’s mother.
