Honored Martyr's Story
Dariya was participating in the 40 day ceremony of Hadis Najafi, shot in protests against gender apartheid in Iran. Dariya was captured and beaten by police. She was detained after being beaten by police. Her family could not find her in custody until two weeks later when they were told to retreive her body in the morgue. The family was then threatened with more violence and forced to change the story publicly of here murder by the state.
