Three women from the Thamer Abu Ammar family were executed including this mother and her two daughters. From July 25-27 of 2018, ISIS began a massive campaign against As-Suweyda because of its large Christian Druze population, using suicide bombing and targeted ammunition strikes. Over 300 people in this small area were killed, many escaped. Approximately 36 Druze women and some men were kidnapped to barter for Daesh fighters in captivity. Some of the women managed to escape. At least 17 women were executed and the remaining women were released when the fighters were returned. The exact date of execution is unknown.
