Honored Martyr's Story
Anush was a soldier for the Armenian Army in a defensive against attacking Azerbaijani military. She was captured, raped, tortured and brutally mutilated by Azeri soldiers. The soldiers also took video of their actions, desecrated her corpse and circulated the video. Anush was a mother of three children. The video of Anush triggered international outcry and reflected on the repeat attacks and war crimes ongoing since the Armenian genocide of the early 20th century.
