Honored Martyr's Story
In a major offensive against Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula by US Navy Seals in the al-Ghayil village of the Yakla region, it is believed that up to 59 civilians were killed. The al-Ameri home was particularly targeted for being the home of militants. Fatima was one among mostly women and children. They were indiscriminately and aggressively shot at, killing her and 15 others in her household. United States Navy Seals were assisted by Emerati special operatives. Witness survivors said that the soldiers were deposited after air-raids and shot at people indiscriminately as they fled their homes.
