Honored Martyr's Story
Parastoo was a mother to an 18 month old as well as stepmother and caretaker of her husband’s child. She was forced to marry at age 12 because of the death of her father. Her husband was an adult suffering from delusions. In a fit of rage, her husband hanged her, then stabbed her violently. He said he was convinced that Parastoo was talking to another man, even though excessive labor of caring for her children and her husband gave her no time to even rest.
