Honored Martyr's Story
Negin was studying medicine at the University of Hamedan when she participated in the campus wide protests against police brutality, femicide and unjust laws. She was beaten severely by police and other security forces with a baton including blows to her head. Negin managed to go back to her dorm, where she died from the blows. When students living with her in the dorms began an outcry, police raided the dorms and threatened them of the same fate. State forces called Negin’s family in the Kurdish Ghorveh City and told them that Negin died from eating a can of spoiled tuna. They threatened the family if they changed that narrative or protested her death.
