Honored Martyr's Story
For 18 years, Wafa pleaded to her family and community about her abuse and torture at the hands of her husband. Her family and all in her community advised her to go back and obey him, yet her husband’s frustrations and anger saw no end. In early July, he killed Wafa in front of their small daughter. The little girl ran out in the street screaming “Mommy killed.”
