Honored Martyr's Story
Tooroskeh was forced in a marriage with her cousin at age 17. After years of enduring abuse in the marriage, she ran away from her husband’s home. Her father and father in law/uncle set out to find her and when they did, she ran from them to the second floor window of the home she was hiding in and jumped out. Her father and uncle picked up her broken, bleeding body and instead of seeking help, took her to the uncles house and hung her.
