Honored Martyr's Story
On July 8, Israel started a major air offensive against Gaza in a claim that Hamas was firing missiles toward Israeli civilians. In fact, two of the reasons for the offensive were to elicit extreme fear in the residents of Gaza, as well as destroy any tunnels or other means of leaving Gaza that did not require passage through an Israeli checkpoint. After a short moment of truce for residents in Gaza to go home from shelters to retrieve necessities, Israel began a ground offensive. Then when Hamas responded, Israel began their heaviest day of bombing. Do’aa was killed along with her older sisters in one of those Israeli airstrikes.
