Honored Martyr's Story
Mahak left her home to attend protests. She wore a baseball cap instead of a veil. It is believed that when she was confronted police and paramilitary, she was targeted. She was beaten to death as witnessed by people around her. Her body was then disappeared. When her family received news of her murder, they were told that they would have to pay a ransom to receive her body for burial.
