Honored Martyr's Story
Fatima was diagnosed with a hole in her heart during one of many Israeli attacks and blockades of Gaza. Her parents asked permission to take her to a hospital in Jerusalem for her appointments and surgery. When the Israeli military and supervisors did not allow the Al-Masri family to leave their blockaded neighborhood, the family reached out to human rights groups to help. After five months of waiting, Fatima could not hold on and passed away.
