Honored Martyr's Story
Minoo, a Kurdish woman living in Kermanshah, went to the protests in her city to raise her voice about the killing of Mahsa Amini. She was faced with Iranian state security forces who shot her directly in the head. She died on impact. Minoo’s daughter posted a protest photo standing over her mother’s fresh grave, head shaved and holding her cut hair with a white scarf dropped to her neck. This photo went viral immediately as a symbol of the ongoing struggle even upon assassination.
