Honored Martyr's Story
Parmis was beaten to death in front of other students by police who responded to protests on their campus. Police searched her backpack and found a torn photo of Ayatollah Khomeini. In response, police beat her severely in front of other students to punish her and to make an example of her. She died the next day in the hospital. Parmis lived in the Balouch region of Iran, which has been especially targeted brutally since the government believes they want to succeed.
