Honored Martyr's Story
US Coalition forces in search of Daesh planting a car bomb targeted the home of Shamsah, killing her 10 month old daughter and 13 other people who fled from the street into her home to escape harm. Her husband Mohammad was injured but survived. The members of Daesh who were planting the car bomb fled, so only civilians were killed. In 2017, the US Coalition stated that civilians were not killed and it was only after several reports by the Los Angeles Times that US Coalition was forced to admit civilians were killed.
