Honored Martyr's Story
Nasrin was a Kurdish philosophy doctoral student in Tehran. She was protesting governmental oppression and police violence along with many people in Iran. She was confronted by police and beaten into a coma. She lost her life in the hospital. When her body was being transported to her hometown of Marivan, her father was threatened and forced to give a state video statement that his daughter died of influenza. Her hometown of Marivan exploded in protest upon news of Nasrin’s murder.
