Honored Martyr's Story
Mariam was at home with her 4 year old brother Zaid, her father Wael ‘Abdel Karim ‘Ali ‘Issa, and her mother Rima who was five months pregnant. At 1:30 am, an Israeli military airstrike hit their apartment building in the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood. This family was killed during an aggression by the Israeli state to illegally occupy al-Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and al-Aqsa Mosque. Mariam was buried under the rubble for over a week. Her small body was found under the rubble of her home on May 21.
