Honored Martyr's Story
The suburb of Jaramana had many supporters of the Syrian government of Bashar al’Assad. It was also a mixed but very Christian neighborhood. A car bomb by Islamists fighting the government exploded, targeting the residents. The bomb killed 10 and injured 62. Helweih was a bystander. She was Christian, but it is unknown if she supported Assad.
