Honored Martyr's Story
Daed and her friend Khadijeh moved to Taqbah after being displaced from Palmyra. In a case of mistaking an automated bakery with an ISIS bomb factory, US Coalition forces made four strikes killing between 44 and 56 named civilians, with up to 55 others wounded. The owner of the bakery, its employees and any residents nearby were struck in the Al Thani neighbourhood of Tabqah. Cars and nearby shops were also burned. Daed, her friend and her family were all among the dead.
