Honored Martyr's Story
A continuous air campaign to strike Daesh was initiated by US and Coalition Forces throughout December 2015 in the Thubat district of Fallujah. Ayesha’s home in that neighborhood was hit by an airstrike, injuring her siblings and killing her. In January 2020, after numerous demands for transparency on that airstrike by family members and others concerned about civilian casualties, the US State Department released a statement that they have no record of an airstrike.
