Honored Martyr's Story
From July 25-27 of 2018, ISIS began a massive campaign against As-Suweyda, using suicide bombing and targeted ammunition strikes, because of its large Christian Druze population. Over 300 people in this small area were killed, many escaped. Approximately 36 Druze women and some men were kidnapped to barter for Daesh fighters in captivity. Some of the women managed to escape. At least 17 women were executed and the remaining women were released when the fighters were returned. Among the executed were 7 women from the al-Jbaie family. The exact date of execution is unknown.
